Food: The International LanguageMarch 25, 2010
I’m looking forward to a fun event this Saturday – I mentioned it in a post back in February, but since the event is so close, I’ll re-post what i wrote then. Hope you can join me there!

As you may have gathered by now, I’m into food. Based on the recipes in many previous posts, you’ve probably also noticed that I really enjoy ethnic food. And as many people do, I enjoy free food. So what if I told you there was an upcoming event featuring not just food, not just ethnic food, but free ethnic food? Well hopefully you’d be as excited as I am. The Albany Academies will be hosting the International Taste of the World Festival on Saturday, March 27th from 3-6PM.
From the event’s Facebook page:
“This will be the second annual Taste of the World Festival. Albany Academies families spend the afternoon sharing food from their cultural background. Many families bring artwork and decor, instruments, pottery, toys, clothing, slide shows, music and regalia from their countries of origin. There will also be dancing, displays and crafts for children. It is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon for the entire family. The participation of students, faculty, staff, graduates, parents and friends make this a really special event!”
Sounds good to me! Here’s a quick rundown of the particulars:
Date: Saturday, March 27, 2010
Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Location: Albany Academy for Girls Athletic Facility
Street: 140 Academy Road
City/Town: Albany, NY
And here’s a link to their web site for more info. Hope to see you there!
