Humungous Hummus Among Us

I may have mentioned once or twice on this blog that on my top five favorite foods list is hummus; that delicious paste made from chickpeas, sesame paste, lemon juice and olive oil is enjoyed throughout the Middle East and the surrounding areas.  But apparently there are some who love it even more – some who are taking hummus into the political dipping bowl and spreading it on crackers of national pride.  Check out this article from cnn.com about how Lebanon has cast the latest volley in what has been an ongoing culinary war with Israel:
