What a Revoltin’ Development

Well not really, but I just love that old Yosemite Sam expression. What it refers to is this blog post from the Albany Times Union web site (link below), which I will sum up for you. There’s a new chef in town, specifically at Jack’s Oyster House, which we reviewed this past Monday. Chef Larry Schepici took over on Monday, 3 days after we dined there and expressed our disappointment in the menu items and overall quality of the food. Part of me wants to believe that they read our review and immediately hired a new chef. Yup, sounds good to me. Some will recognize Chef Schepici’s name – he most recently helmed the kitchen at the Brown Derby, and previously had opened his own restaurant in Troy before it went out of business. So it figures that 3 days after we went to Jack’s they hire a new chef; I suppose we’ll have to go back again and see if things get better. Thanks to reader Dan for bringing this to our attention.
